Kim has been practicing yoga on and off since 2002 but her real journey began in 2012 when her corporate job ended with a company reorganization. With the love and support of her husband she was able to pursue her dreams of teaching yoga. In June of 2013 she received her 200hr yoga teacher training certification from Purple Lotus where she immediately found her voice
and passion in teaching.
In November of 2013 she fractured her patella in an accident which prevented her from teaching for few months. After a very challenging recovery she returned to yoga and became much more aware of the healing aspect of yoga. This accident changed her path not only in her teaching but also in her own practice. It led her to respect and honor the gentle approach to yoga and specifically to Restorative Yoga. In 2014 she received a Restorative Yoga Teacher Training certification with Yoga Tree and in 2015 became certified as a Relax and Renew® Trainer with Judith Lasater.
Today she continues to learn from her students and teachers every time she steps on her mat. Her classes are centered on the healing and nurturing of the body and calming the mind with breath work and meditation. Yoga to her is a life changing and never ending lesson.
