Laura Abbott-Coan is a yoga teacher, a yoga therapist and a retreat leader, and has a client centered, creative solutions yoga therapy practice. She is certified by IAYT, International Association of Yoga Therapy and has been a yoga practitioner for 16 years and formerly owned Dragon fire yoga in East Dallas. She attained her 200 hour certification with Tias Little, Prajna Yoga. Her dedication and inquiring mind keep her evolving and continuing her yoga studies.  As a result, she is currently in the yoga therapy program under Gary Kraftsow with American Viniyoga.  

She has also completed other significant yoga studies with Rod Stryker from Parayoga.  Moreover, Laura has also completed Ayurvedic Life Style Counseling certification with Arpita Shah from Om Yoga Journey.  

Laura’s focus is a breath centered asana (postures) practice.  This way of practicing creates vitality, grounding and a balancing effect on each yoga practitioner.  

As a yoga teacher, Laura Abbott-Coan currently leads morning classes on Mondays, including the Shakti Foundations class at 7.15AM and Viniyoga Therapy for upper back, neck and shoulders at 9AM.
