Bhakti Yoga is the center of Lavanga’s life. Drawing from 15+ years of personal practice, her goal is to share the innumerable gifts given by her teachers. They have shown her that following the path of Bhakti is a very sweet and practical way of living whereby one simply needs to give their heart to the Divine, and all will be given in return. On her own, and with her partners in The Kyari Project and ASK!, she
teaches classes on Bhagavad Gita and mantra meditation. She shines the most, however, when she shares kirtan, the joyful musical meditation comprised of singing sacred mantras. She has led kirtans and classes all over the DFW Metroplex for the past 8 years. She is also a co-host of a radio show based on the Bhagavad Gita.
A key component in Lavanga’s tradition is the sharing of blessed vegetarian food, which she embraces fully. She has been honing her cooking skills for over 30 years, so you’ll never live one of her kirtans or classes with an empty belly!
Lavanga has been a Licensed massage therapist, Natural healer and Reiki master for over 20 years and, in 2012, she became a RYT-200. Lavanga also expresses herself by creating mini-altars, sacred art and jewelry. She is also a student of astrology and the intuitive arts.
Come to meet Lavanga every 1st Saturday of the month, as she leads our Kirtan in our special Bhakti class, and as promised she always brings us yummy food for everyone to enjoy!
