Yoga Nidra

Inspired in Parayoga’s “Relax into Greatness”

Feeling stressed? Yoga nidra (yogic sleep) uses a series of body, breath, and awareness techniques that allow the body to restore itself. Try this deeply restorative practice to relieve stress and release the body’s innate healing potential.
Yoga Nidra is a practice that everyone, from children to seniors, can do. It’s easy to follow at any age. All that is needed is for your body to lie down on the floor.
Yoga nidra promotes deep rest and relaxation that isn’t found in your average meditation practice. The stages of body scan and breath awareness alone can be practiced to calm the nervous system, leading to less stress and better health.

Prepare for your Yoga Nidra class by wearing comfortable clothes that allow you to move with ease.  Feel free to bring anything that makes you more comfortable on the floor, such as your yoga mat, towel, eye pillow if you have one, a favorite neck roll, small pillow, or blanket.

Please arrive a few minutes early to set up your personal space.
